The Paralegal department provides lawyers with a high level of practice group support and is involved in the day-to-day management of clients and matters.
Bachelor’sdegree and/or Paralegal Certificate
5years Paralegal experience
Experiencein a law firm, legal department, or professional services organization
Proficientin MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Experiencewith finance technology software
Goodcommunication and interpersonal skills
Goodorganizational and strong attention to detail
Abilityto work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
Experienceworking within a Corporate/Securities practice group
Experiencemaintaining corporate record books and state filings
Experiencewith conducting Blue Sky filings
Experiencewith conducting FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority)flings
What will your day look like?
Your day will be spent performing a range of substantive transaction and entity related duties by supporting efforts between attorneys, clients, opposing legal counsel and other parties. This will include developing, monitoring and updating documents and otherwise assisting in the closing of M&A, debt financing and growth equity transactions.
You will also be responsible for researching, preparing and filing legal UCC Financing Statements, Articles of Incorporation/Organization, annual reports, managing data rooms and matter files, coordinating execution and delivery of documentation to other parties’ counsel, lenders, governmental agencies, etc., including all closing documentation. You will also develop, monitor and update closing and other checklists.
